Current Volunteer Opportunities

If you’ve come out to Cart’m lately you’ve probably noticed things are starting to look a little different. We are experiencing a growth spurt; re-organizing for efficiency and becoming much more volunteer friendly.

Throughout our evolution, Cart’m has been the local flagship; a tangible expression that says this community cares. Now we need your help!

When everyone pitches in, we can do amazing things. Our new volunteer friendly systems are set up so that everyone can easily contribute ……even if you only have an hour!! No experience needed.

Most volunteers do a 2-4 hour shift once a month (e.g. every second Tuesday from 1-3 PM). Some work more often; some come in only for special projects. Volunteers fill in doing work they like or see needs doing: sorting, sweeping, painting, gardening, repairing, de-nailing, and taking things apart for recycling.

Don’t think you have time?

• Don’t meet your friends for coffee, make a date and chat while you sort cans.
• Chat with your neighbors while you box bottles after you drop off your recycling.
• Families could volunteer together, instilling values while enjoying quality family
• ALL the really cool people are doing it
• People who sign up to help, (even if it’s only an hour a week) get to wear a special green sticky on their name tag at the TRASH BASH!:

We’ll be doing Volunteer orientation and training periodically during the busy summer ahead. Most jobs are easy to learn and training will only take a few minutes the first time you come in. (You will also be asked to fill out volunteer related paperwork, and receive training in safety procedures at that time). Please sign up today!
